Passage A depicts an important fragment of Victor's time at the school of Ingolstadt. Upon his arrival this individual grows disappointed with apparently unimportant applications of modern technology, nevertheless, his fervor for obtaining scientific mastery and uncovering the arcane secrets of technology is revitalized when he attends the address of mentor Waldman. As eloquently pictured in Passing A simply by Mary Shelley, Waldman's terms carry this sort of compelling force that they awaken the true characteristics of Frankenstein and provide for surface an integral piece of his character— a deeply seated desire to reproduce life as being a direct result of his single mother's death.
